They allow us to purchase gas for a little less during one week and then they jack the price up for the weekend. It's truly getting on my nerves. No wonder gas theft is bad in my neck of the woods. We already know the companies aren't paying much for it. Therefore we're getting ripped-off for no good reason. And then there the plane ticket issue. Can you really find cheap airplane tickets online? This is a question I've been struggling with over the last few days. Last night I rifled through countless websites, searching for cheap airplane tickets. Let me present you with the usual suspects. You have orbitz.com, cheaptickets.com, priceline.com, expedia.com, sidestep.com, travelzoo.com, and countless others. My strategy was to basically open them all, and proceed to punch in the flight times I needed. Want to know what I immediately found out? All were around the same price. Hmm, what does that tell you? Maybe that they're all working together, or competing, but only dropping their prices a dollar or so to look less expensive than the other competitors. It was a sad experience to say the least. In short, I did not find a ticket that I wanted to buy. They were all around $600! If you take nothing much from this article, take this; the early bird gets the worm. I don't care what website you access, searching for your cheap airplane tickets early on is the key to actually paying less. I tried this myself, and the later dates I would choose always came up cheaper. This encourages me to purchase airplane tickets in advance always. And if you plan to find cheap airplane tickets for your next getaway or weekend vacation, I suggest you do the same. Use the discount websites, but do it early on.
